Time: 9:00 am–4:00 pm
Location: University of Washington School of Law

Shades of Purple is a student conference for rising high school seniors of underrepresented minorities (the class of 2018). The program focuses its resources on serving the following groups: African American, Pacific Islander (Melanesian, Polynesian, Micronesian), Southeast Asian (Vietnamese, Lao, Khmer, Hmong, Mien, etc.), Hispanic/Latino, and American Indian/Alaskan Native. Shades of Purple in the Community was created to encourage underrepresented minority students to pursue higher education and to give them the opportunity to experience campus life. During the conference, participants will have the opportunity to discover law and be inspired to consider a legal career as they meet future classmates, learn about campus programs, and discover the diversity and unity that exists within the University of Washington community.

Application and participation is open to all students regardless of race/ethnic background.
